What is the Construction Supplier Register?
The Construction Supplier Register is an open pre-qualification scheme that identifies construction works and services suppliers with expertise, capacity, and capability to deliver projects for the Victorian Government.
By using the Construction Supplier Register, both construction works and services suppliers and Victorian Government departments and State agencies can streamline the procurement process when tendering for infrastructure and construction projects.
Pre-qualified suppliers include:
- architects
- project managers
- engineers
- commercial and domestic builders
- demolition contractors.
The Construction Supplier Register team vets and pre-qualifies suppliers as part of their ongoing, due diligence processes:
- at the time of the supplier’s initial pre-qualification application process
- during mandatory annual reviews of all pre-qualified suppliers
- when alerted to issues of supplier non-compliance with the Construction Supplier Register’s pre-qualification requirements.
What is the Construction Supplier Register used for?
The Construction Supplier Register is used to streamline public construction and infrastructure procurement. Government departments and state agencies use it as a procurement tool to identify and select pre-qualified construction works and services suppliers eligible to be invited to tender for Victorian Government projects.
The Construction Supplier Register is the only Whole of Victorian Government register approved for public construction procurement of building and infrastructure projects under the Ministerial Directions and Instructions for Public Construction Procurement.
Who can apply for pre-qualification onto the Construction Supplier Register?
Construction works and services suppliers interested in tendering as lead contractors on Victorian government construction projects can apply for pre-qualification onto the Construction Supplier Register at no cost.
The Construction Supplier Register has over 1,200 pre-qualified construction works and services suppliers registered across a range of categories.
