In 2024-25, the Community Support Fund (CSF) received $168.7 million in revenue and incurred $137.3 million in expenditure as reported in the DTF Annual Report.
Funding from the CSF was provided to support various projects with community benefits that align with the CSF funding objectives legislated in the Gambling Regulation Act 2003.
During the 2024-25 financial year, the CSF trust has an opening cash balance of $266.8 million, with net cash movement of $57.0 million resulting in a closing cash balance of $323.8 million.
Below is a percentage breakdown of the CSF 2024-25 grant expenditure by funding purpose:
- 31 per cent was allocated to community facilities-related projects.
- 27 per cent was allocated for tackling problem gambling, which is one of the top priorities for the CSF.
- 18 per cent was allocated to community services-related projects.
- 24 per cent was allocated across various other funding objectives.
