Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
- Successful candidate appointments are subject to a cleared criminal check prior to commencement date. You will be sent a link from CV check to complete this and candidates will need to provide 100 points of identity documents.
- We will accept a copy of a criminal records check if it was completed in the last six months, please send a copy to recruitment@dgs.vic.gov.au prior to starting.
- If the candidate does not complete the criminal check, this may delay their start date, and the hiring manager will be advised.
- Refusal to undertake a criminal check by a prospective employee who has applied for a role where it has been deemed that a criminal check is required will result in the offer of employment being withdrawn.
Recognition of prior service
If you have previously worked for another public entity (such as the Commonwealth or another State Government), your prior service may be recognised. You must apply within six months of commencing at DTF using the prior service form.
If you have transferred from another VPS department or agency, your prior service will be automatically recognised in most instances. It is your responsibility to ensure that this has occurred once you commence at DTF by contacting HR Shared Services on 1800 039 411.
Benefits to consider
These benefits are available to you as a DTF employee. If you would like to take advantage of any of these benefits complete the appropriate forms.
Superannuation
There have been Australian Taxation Office legislative changes made to members superannuation funds introducing 'member stapling'. This means members should nominate an existing, active superannuation account.
A stapled superannuation fund is an existing account which is linked or 'stapled' to an individual to ensure it follows them when they change jobs.
These changes are effective from 1 November 2021.
Please complete the Standard Super Choice form and include an existing member number. If you do not have an existing fund, elect the Department’s default fund (VicSuper).
More information about VicSuper can be found on the VicSuper website(opens in a new window).
