Advancing Self-determination in DTF

The Advancing Self-determination in DTF Plan (the Plan) presents DTF’s initial proposed actions to deliver self‑determination reforms and deliver against commitments in the Victorian Aboriginal Affairs Framework and the Self-Determination Reform Framework.

DTF established an internal Self-Determination Taskforce in September 2019 to consider self-determination and how the Department can start to progress it.

The Plan represents the proposed actions developed through the Taskforce, led by teams across the Department including Budget Group, Economic Group, People and Culture, Strategic Sourcing and Strategic Communications.

Proposed actions represent changes to the way we work and our workforce.
