Response to Auditor-General reports

Overview

The Victorian Auditor-General has powers to review and assess the operations and activities of the Victorian public sector, to ensure they are being performed effectively and are reported to the Parliament in an independent and unbiased manner.

The reports prepared by the Auditor-General are a valuable means for the Government to enhance the delivery of a wide range of services to all Victorians, including:

  • healthcare;
  • community services;
  • public housing;
  • law, order and public safet; and
  • maintenance of the State’s roads, public buildings and infrastructure.
