Wage inflation and discount rates

Overview

The wage inflation and wage discount rates are provided to assist entities to calculate annual leave (if measured on a discounted basis) and long service leave entitlements.

The wage inflation and discount rates are published quarterly (monthly in the last quarter of the financial year, to assist entities in ascertaining their financial position for the year end).

The 12 year discount series from the Reserve Bank of Australia is required for the 2004 Model, while a single weighted average discount rate is required by the 2008 Model.
