The Government has responded to the Productivity Commission Public Infrastructure Inquiry.
The Productivity Commission is conducting an inquiry into the funding, financing and delivery of major infrastructure projects. Further detail on the inquiry terms of reference and reports can be found via www.pc.gov.au/projects/inquiry/infrastructure
In January 2014 the Victorian Government responded to the terms of reference with a submission covering infrastructure funding, alternative financing options, and major infrastructure planning and delivery. The submission also outlined measures taken by Victoria to address concerns around the rising cost of construction.

The Productivity Commission released a draft report in March 2014. The Victorian Government provided a supplementary submission with material responding to the issues raised in the draft report.
