The following standard form contracts are available for general use.


Approved agency specific forms of contract

Agencies may have their own approved forms of contract.

Practitioners should check with their procurement leads to determine if approved agency specific contracts are available for use.

 

Approved standard form contracts and guidance material

The forms of contract listed below are approved for general use.

Delivery Model: General construction – construct only

Indicative value of works / services: Greater than $200,000 (GST inclusive)

Approved form of contract:

Delivery Model: General construction – minor construction

Indicative value of works / services: Generally for engagements up to $200,000 (GST inclusive)

Approved form of contract:

Delivery Model: Design and Construct and variants

Indicative value of works / services: Greater than $200,000 (GST inclusive)

Approved form of contract:

Delivery Model: Construction Management

Indicative value of works / services: Generally for larger projects over $5,000,000 (GST inclusive) which are complicated

Approved form of contract:

Delivery Model: Design only / consulting services related to construction works

Indicative value of works / services: Greater than $150,000 (GST inclusive)

Approved form of contract:

Delivery Model: Design only / consulting services related to construction works

Indicative value of works / services: Generally for engagements less than $150,000 (GST inclusive)

Approved form of contract:

Delivery Model: Early contractor involvement

Indicative value of works / services: Any value

Approved form of contract:

Delivery Model: Alliance

Indicative value of works / services: Any value

Approved form of contract:

  • Forms of contract consistent with the requirements of the Victorian Alliancing Policy are approved forms of contract, provided that the relevant Agency has complied with the requirements of the applicable policy, including obtaining all necessary approvals.

Delivery Model: Public Private Partnership

Indicative value of works / services: Any value

Approved form of contract:

  • Forms of contract consistent with the requirements of the Victorian PPP Policy are approved forms of contract, provided that the relevant Agency has complied with the requirements of the applicable policy, including obtaining all necessary approvals.

 

VPS Special Conditions of Contract for use with AS2124-1992 and AS4300-1995 refreshed

The Special Conditions of Contract for use in association with AS2124-1992 (September 2017) (DOCX 213kb) and Special Conditions of Contract for use in association with AS4300-1995 (September) (DOCX 180kb) have been refreshed and are available for use. Practitioners should ensure that they use the current version of the relevant Special Conditions.

Agency staff should contact the Construction Policy Team on 03 9651 5300 or email construction.procurement@dtf.vic.gov.au if they need a summary of changes taking effect. Note that the refreshed Special Conditions do not address the Building Code. Contact Industrial Relations Victoria via email irv@ecodev.vic.gov.au if the Building Code applies to your project.
