The choice of vehicle make and model, and accessories to be fitted, is normally a matter of agency preference according to operational requirements and subject to any relevant existing government policies.
Vehicle registration is arranged by the dealer when an order for a new vehicle is placed by a fleet manager.
All vehicle leases managed by VicFleet are financed via a loan agreement with the Treasury Corporation of Victoria. Under this arrangement VicFleet is the lessor and eligible government departments and agencies are structured as lessees.
Residual value is the estimated projected market value of the vehicle at the end of its lease.
Pre-paid vehicle servicing (pre-paid scheduled maintenance) is available from vehicle manufacturers under the whole of government passenger and light commercial contracts.
All end-of-lease vehicles managed by VicFleet are disposed of by public auction. The Government's contracted provider of auction services is Pickles Auctions.
VicFleet has established whole of government contracts for the supply of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
