The investment management team within the Department of Treasury and Finance is focussed on further evolving simple and practical investment management practices and supporting their adoption across the departments and agencies of the Victorian Government. Evolving the Investment Management Standard
Community of practice
A community of practice was established in mid-2006 with the objective of growing the investment management body-of-knowledge and driving its adoption. This group comprises a cross-section of practitioners from within the Victorian Government and meets at six weekly intervals.
Adoption and best practice studies
Studies are regularly conducted to understand the state of adoption across government and to identify any innovations in the way that the concepts are being used.
Building capability across government
As a result of the rapid uptake and the need for both VPS and non VPS support, the Department of Treasury and Finance conduct information sessions and workshops in the Investment Management Standard.

Is a training session providing the skills to facilitate the development of Investment Logic Maps consistent with the guideline.
